AI consulting

Before building anything, an honest assessment of whether AI delivers real return for your process — including the possibility that the answer is no.

The problem: too much noise, too little judgment

Every executive we talk to has heard some version of the same message: "your company needs AI or it will fall behind." The problem is that message almost never comes with a more important question attached: in which specific process, with what available data, and with what expected return? Without that question, AI becomes an investment made out of fear, not analysis.

How we solve it

  1. Process interview: together, we identify which specific processes consume the most time, generate the most error, or hide the most cost.
  2. Technical feasibility assessment: for each candidate, we evaluate whether there's enough data, whether the process is repeatable enough, and which technique (automation, computer vision, machine learning) would apply — or whether none does yet.
  3. Return estimation: we quantify, with explicit assumptions, the impact of solving that process — clearly marking what's estimated versus verified.
  4. Prioritization: if there are several candidate processes, we help you decide which to tackle first based on impact and effort, not on what looks most impressive.

Expected result

The output of the consulting engagement is a clear feasibility report — not necessarily a "yes, go ahead." The value is in avoiding an investment in an AI project that wouldn't have worked, something that can't be reduced to a generic figure, but that in our experience (PlusSeed's, with 15 years in software development) prevents more loss than any poorly-targeted automation generates.

Methodology

AI consulting corresponds, in essence, to Phase 1 of our general methodology, offered also as a standalone service. See full methodology →

Depending on the assessment's conclusion, consulting can lead to an automation, computer vision or machine learning project — or an honest recommendation to wait.

Frequently asked questions

Does the consulting engagement force me to hire you for development?

No. The assessment is an independent deliverable: a feasibility report you can use to decide, with us or with another provider. We'd rather you decide with honest information than force a sale.

What if the conclusion is that AI doesn't add value to my process?

We tell you directly. An assessment that always concludes "yes, you need AI" isn't an honest assessment — it's a sales pitch in disguise.

How long does an AI consulting engagement take?

It depends on the complexity of the process being evaluated, but the first assessment conversation is free and comes with no obligation — that's where we define whether a deeper consulting phase is needed.
